Academics & Research
Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre firmly believe that academic activities and high-quality oncological care go hand in hand. Our weekly tumour board meetings witness several intense discussions between all specialists and resident doctors to come up with the best treatment plan for the patients, these meetings double up as a great learning opportunity for our students. In addition to this, Saturdays are dedicated to academic activities such as journal club sessions, continuous professional education activities and guest lectures/panel discussions by eminent scientists, doctors and professionals from the industry.
We conduct several National Board of Examinations (NBE) and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) recognized academic courses to nurture and train the future leaders in oncological care and research.
Under the guidance of eminent scientists of our Academic Advisory Board and Institutional Ethics Committee, our research wing is rapidly growing with collaborations with other research inclined national and international centres.
Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation is also recognized by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Government of India.
