1. My long-term goals are to understand mechanisms of cellular proliferation and differentiation in normal physiology and cancer, with an aim of finding new therapeutic avenues to target tumorigenesis, metastasis, and drug resistance. 2. My current research focuses on elucidating the functions of atypical cyclins in cancer development or progression. In addition, I am also interested in biomarker discovery and validation, particularly from the angle of improving early cancer diagnosis. 3. To gain mechanistic insights, my research combines the use of cell-line models, biochemical approaches, functional genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics.
